Are you alive or are you just living?

Are you alive or are you just living?

Do you know what it is to really be alive and live a fulfilling life?

How much time do you spend on aspects that holds no essence in your life?  Have you heard people saying, time is going by so quickly! No, the truth is, time has always remained the most constant aspect within our lives, ultimately it is our lives that have changed and with those changes, a faster pace is required.  Realities of life are hitting us every single day be it an illness, a life tragedy, losing one’s job or even relationship issues like separation and divorce.  Yet, you still take your every day and most importantly your own life for granted.  How much do we really care about ourselves enough to enjoy every second of our lives?  Why it is the day, that life presents you with a devastating situation; you take it as a wakeup call?

How often do you reflect on your life and the mere fact that you wake up every morning is so amazing in itself? How often do you reflect on what a wonderful life you have or are you too busy chasing after things, which hold you no value?  How often do you appreciate those around you and the love they have to give?   Have you ever thought about the day you leave your last breath, what would I have loved to achieve?  What would I say to my loved ones? What could I have done better?  Why did I waste so much time and effort on the things that held no value?  Take a deep breathe, imagine yourself in that space of having no control, the space of the inevitable, and really feel it…what does it feel like?  Then you suddenly open your eyes from that fear, what would you change?

“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.”
